The piece is made from open sand-cast bronze and Paarl grey granite. The single bronze slab is cast and the centre area is machined to form a perfectly flat recess, leaving a frame that still embodies the raw open-cast texture. The machined area is then sanded and polished to mirror-like finish. The bronze mirror is placed into the Granite block to stand upright.
